An overarching life passion of mine has been supporting and guiding others (well, me too!) in experiencing more ease and more joy in life. This passion has been expressed over the years in many roles, from managing a food coop and teaching people about food’s effects on the body and mind, to working with corporate executives leading diversity work (as we called it in those days) and improving their own leadership and therefore the lives of all who worked around them, and, in the last 15 years, teaching yoga, meditation, and leading Family Constellations. Most recently I have become certified in Bowenwork and am thrilled to add this to what I offer clients! I am also a doTerra Wellness Advocate.
My background is broad, as I followed and developed this passion, studying ultimately on 3 continents. Certification includes an MBA, Gestalt Organization Studies certification, Registered Yoga Teacher, Meditation Teacher, and 800-hour International Yoga Therapy (IAYT). Certification in process: Yoga Sutras (Himalayan Institute, plus continuing studies in Therapeutic Yoga. I have studied Ayurveda, Tantra, Raja Yoga, anatomy, Family and Organization Constellations, Gender Reconciliation, Somatics, and more in US, Canada, Europe, and India. Recently I have researched, written, and published a book detailing how to replicate the amazing and inspiring work of Maher (a refuge for battered and at-risk women and children in India). My work with clients, while based in yoga, is complemented by these many rich and varied modalities.
Turning Light Center was founded in 2003, to bring together many different works united by the focus on growing EASE and JOY in life. We offer classes, workshops, private and semi-private sessions, guest teachers, retreats and more.
Jessie the Therapy Dog loves to greet every new friend who walks in the door, and to snooze on her bed during sessions. If you have any allergies to dogs or they make you uncomfortable, please let me know and she can be elsewhere at that time.
